Method
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly until well blended.
- Break up any clumps (especially from the brown sugar) using your fingers or a fork.
- Store in an airtight container or spice jar.
- Rub generously on ribs (both sides) at least 1 hour before cooking, preferably overnight for best flavor.
Notes
You can adjust all the ingredients per your preference. I prefer my ribs with some heat, which is why I have the amount of cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, and chili powder that I do.
Ideal for smoking, grilling, or baking.
For extra crust, let ribs sit uncovered in the fridge after applying the rub before cooking.
