Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice 4-6 Lemons.
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 5 Cups Cold Water
  • 6 Slices Lemon Garnish.
  • 6 Sprigs Mint Garnish.

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar with 1 cup of the water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. This creates a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice and cooled simple syrup. Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
  3. Taste and adjust: Add more water if too tart. Add a little more lemon juice if too sweet.
  4. Chill thoroughly and serve over ice with lemon slices and mint.
